Oh, is this _not_ related to the homestuck song Sunslammer? I listened to it, then sort of imagined a thumpy thumpy version with troll lyrics.

• luka’s fantroll is a former helmsman who crashed his ship. 
• the ship was called the sunslammer; presumably luka got this from the homestuck song.
• so in the ‘lee shore’ verse, where human space and the troll empire have an uneasy peace, and disgruntled trolls defect to earth, there is a troll movie in which a helmsman breaks his conditioning and crashes his ship in an attempt to commit suicide
• and it’s a dramatization of a true story and the helmsman was enkidi galgal SO THERE.
• right, so there’s an earth remake of that movie, and the earth remake is a lot truer than the original because humans don’t censor that stuff, and the remake is called ‘sunslammer down’
• which is also sort of a reference to ‘blackhawk down’ yeah i know this is getting ridiculous just bear with me
• and dave is writing a song about helmsmen, in which he is using a sample from ‘sunslammer down’.
• dave’s song is called ‘a submarine waiting to happen’.
• which is a reference to luka’s fic ‘one of our submarines’.
• so basically it’s all luka’s fault.
• blame him.
• not me.
